I’ve always been into art and design, but my relentless drive to try new things took my professional life in an entirely different direction.
In high school, I had no clear idea of what I wanted to do, and it didn’t worry me much. Following my passion for art, I enrolled in preparatory courses for the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. After months of intense pressure from traditionalist professors and an emerging curiosity about alternative career paths, I decided to step away. I felt there might be something more waiting just around the corner.
With no grand life plan, in 2009 I graduated in European Studies and Journalism from the University of Warsaw. After a few years working in a corporate environment, I decided to try my hand at entrepreneurship. From that moment, everything accelerated quickly. In 2014, I founded Prowly, a tech company that helped revolutionize communication tactics in the PR industry worldwide. Prowly’s success caught the attention of a major American tech giant, and in 2020, we joined their group.
The first money I earned went toward a painting by a contemporary artist, marking the start of my journey as an art collector. Immersed in this world, I began experimenting with oil paints in my free time. Painting became a meditative process, helping me find balance in my work life. I gradually found myself fully absorbed in this. Today, I have my own studio and spend entire days there. In both painting and business, I’m self-taught, which means learning constantly comes with creating. I view my work as a journey, often without a plan for the final result, but with a constant awareness of the environment in which I live or follow.
Few years ago, in my TEDx talk, I shared insights about the power of unexpected encounters—an approach I continue to embrace in both life and my art.
